Ralph sends Lauren all his money from Algeria, which she uses to trounce Victoria's snooty friends at the gaming table before ingratiating herself with them, to Nick's dismay - though when the money runs out they no longer want to know her. Meanwhile Nick discovers that put-upon butler Langley has a fine operatic voice so Victoria releases him to pursue his dream. Unfortunately this leaves him jobless and angry with Horace replacing him. So Nick is very pleased when an elegant and wealthy Langley, now a head-lining crooner, returns to thank him. Lauren grows tired of having to mask her sex for the band to succeed and so she feels liberated when a group of feminists led by the adoring Rose recognize her, elevating her to fame and leading to her forming her own band. The band is relaxing at Victoria's country mansion where Horace has devised a murder mystery game. It goes ahead without Jason , who is fleeing when a vengeful Curtis reappears but when Curtis collapses Jason is sure he has killed him . Calmed by Lauren he returns to the house to make his confession but no body can be found. This is not surprising when it is revealed what really happened. Written by don @ minifie-1

The time machine is now fixed but Nick feels he should do something to justify his time travel and, at the band's leaving party, meets the seductive Nicola, whom he marries on impulse. Jason, however, is heart-broken that Victoria no longer wants him but Lauren is convinced that Nicola is not what she seems and determines to rescue her brother so that they can all return home, along with a special parting gift from Victoria.
