Angie's (Bresha Webb) ex-boyfriend hooks her up with four tickets to the Jay-Z concert. Her husband, Russell (Tone Bell), is wary, but her best friends Mitch (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) and Tracy (Vanessa Lachey) are thrilled with the opportunity to have a fun night out. But first, Tracy and Mitch have to scramble to find a babysitter for their daughter. Mitch fears Kimberly (guest star Antonimar Murphy), the leading candidate, is too attractive. Meanwhile, Russell voices an even bigger concern about the babysitter.

Mitch (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) and Tracy (Vanessa Lachey) delight in teaching their newly married friends Russell (Tone Bell) and Angie (Bresha Webb) how to navigate a happy and healthy marriage. When Russell scores VIP tickets to the Adult Film Awards, he looks to Mitch for advice on how to best to play it with the wives. Mitch's answer is just be honest and to Russell's surprise, this approach works, and they head out on the town for a guys' night with Hudson (guest star Malcolm Barrett) and Jim (guest star Matt Oberg). But when Tracy has second thoughts, their night is nearly derailed and Mitch's honesty policy is put to the test. Meanwhile, Angie starts following Russell on Twitter and is shocked to find that adoring fans are sending him nude pics.

Mitch (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) and Tracy's (Vanessa Lachey) childcare woes are solved when they agree to a babysitter share with the Goldmans (guest stars Nelson Franklin and Beth Dover). But two rowdy little girls end up being more than Mitch can handle, and when he brings them over to Russell's (Tone Bell) house for help, little Maya Goldman (guest star Veronica Ruthie Sigel) wanders upstairs and sees Russell in the shower. Unsure of what she actually saw leaves Russell and the gang debating whether they should break the news to the Goldmans and risk being judged, or keep their mouths shut and hope the whole thing goes away. Meanwhile, desperate to impress the other moms, Tracy enlists Angie (Bresha Webb) to help her throw the perfect birthday party for Sadie (guest star Sophie Mackenzie Nack).

When Sadie's (guest star Sophie Mackenzie Nack) favorite chicken at school dies, Mitch (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) and Tracy (Vanessa Lachey) struggle with what to say to her because they are a mixed-faith couple. Things are further complicated when Mitch's sisters, Sam (guest star Ashley Tisdale), brings her psychic boyfriend, Josh (guest star Ryan Cartwright), over for dinner, and Angie (Bresha Webb) and Russell (Tone Bell) get into a fight when they discover they're not on the same page about God.

Mitch (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), who relishes the opportunity to stick it to a car salesman, insists on handling the negotiations for a new car for Russell (Tone Bell). When a gay salesman (guest star Jamie Kaler) assumes Mitch and Russell are a couple, Mitch plays it up to get the best deal. Tracy (Vanessa Lachey) brags to Angie (Bresha Webb) about sharing a gym membership with another Asian woman, taking advantage of the white employees who can't tell the two of them apart. She convinces Angie to do the same, but quickly discovers her goody-two-shoes friend might not be able to pull it off.

When Angie (Bresha Webb) discovers her favorite sweatshirt at one time belonged to one of Russell's (Tone Bell) ex-girlfriends, Angie makes it her mission to redecorate their house and get rid of everything related to her husband's bachelor days. Yet when Tracy (Vanessa Lachey) innocently suggests that Angie hire her friend Katherine (guest star Briga Heelan) to lead the remodel, Angie soon uncovers a secret about Russell's dating past that makes her question how well she knows her man. Meanwhile, Tracy, with the help of Mitch (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), unsuccessfully try to get her daughter Sadie (Sophie Mackenzie Nack) to show an interest in Filipina Barbie in an attempt to embrace their shared Filipino culture.

Mitch (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) throws off the delicate ecosystem of friendship when he inadvertently texts a lunch invite to his best-friend's wife, Angie (Bresha Webb). Determined to make it work, the pair agrees to meet up and fight through the awkwardness, finding out they actually have a lot in common. They both decide to leave their self-imposed comfort zone and go on a quest to break the rules. Meanwhile, Tracy (Vanessa Lachey) offers Russell (Tone Bell) an empty cubicle at her office so he has a quiet place to work on his writing, but quickly discovers the consequences of inserting a freewheeling stand-up comic into her highly efficient workplace, distracting her assistant, Linda (Guest star Melanie Paxson) and winning over her boss, Phil (Guest star Jerry Lambert).

Mitch and Tracy are excited when a new couple moves into the neighborhood -- until their barking dog prevents Sadie from sleeping; Russell tries to prove to Angie that he is responsible enough to have a dog.

When Russell (Tone Bell) and Angie (Bresha Webb) aren't seated at their favorite fish taco joint, the gang comes to the conclusion that the restaurant may be discriminating. Mitch (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) eagerly steps up and makes a huge scene, calling out the owner for his despicable behavior in front of the crowded restaurant and winning the praise of his best friend Russell. However, when Mitch later notices the restaurant's Entire Party Must Be Present To Be Seated sign, he struggles for a way to come clean to Russell. Meanwhile, Tracy (Vanessa Lachey) finds out her daughter Sadie (Sophie Mackenzie Nack) has been involved in a bullying incident at school and is determined to help her daughter overcome the issue. When Angie discovers Tracy's perspectives on bullying are shaded by her own high-school experiences, she helps Tracy work through them with the help of Tracy's assistant Linda (guest star Melanie Paxson).

When Mitch (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) is asked to officiate the wedding of friends Derek (guest star Terrence Jenkins) and Charlene (guest star Letoya Luckett), Russell (Tone Bell) is sent into a tailspin because he was the one who introduced the couple. When a piece of juicy gossip threatens to break-off the wedding, Tracy (Vanessa Lachey) sees her first child-free weekend away at risk of being derailed by Mitch's obsession with running the perfect event. Meanwhile, as Russell maneuvers to get a bigger role in the wedding, he finds out that his wife Angie (Bresha Webb) thinks he already hogged up too much of the spotlight at their own wedding.
