Aileen Wuornos was that rare female serial killer responsible for the murder of seven (7) men in Florida between 1989-1990 by shooting them all at point-blank range. Wuornos had an unorthodox upbringing being raised by her grandparents after her mother abandoned her at an early age, and her father had left her mother before she was born. She was raped and impregnated at age 14 and her new born child was immediately taken away and given up for adoption to an unknown family. Aileen Wournos had multiple run-ins with the law and served prison time before even commencing her murder spree. She stole the cars of her murder victims and then traveled with her female lover Tyria Moore, a hotel maid, who she met at a Daytona Beach gay bar to continue with her murder spree under the pretense she was a prostitute. The Zodiac Killer which is the pseudonym self proclaimed and his killings were first reported in the late 1960's and his accredited murder spree continued into the 1970's and then abruptly stopped. He operated in northern California and he made it very clear to the police and the newspapers that he wanted credit for his murder spree.
