Michael jumps from the helicopter, literally 'dropped' by Caral's team and faces arrest. Former special forces colleague Harlan's lawyer manages to get him off the hook. Sam already agreed that Micheal would help save Harlan's girlfriend and her father, who is arrested in Venezuela as part of a massive land smuggle and extortion scheme. Helping Fiona with a bounty hunt mark gets Miami PD detectives Lopez and Paxson on Michael's back, so the team must clear out his storage before the explosives etc. are found. That has to wait, like the birthday party Michael's mother throws for him, when it turns out that diamond trader Howard didn't try to deny his wife access to their darling boy Brandon: the kid was kidnapped by semi-amateur Santora. Michael poses as a dangerous witness, Sam as a dirty cop who helps new 'business partner' Santora deal with the problem, in fact to discover real, allegedly rogue accomplice Jimmy's hiding place. Miami detectives, Paxson and Lopez, are still on Michael's case, but that problem has to wait. Nate proudly visits his big brother Michael to announce he's finally getting ahead, if a deal for his limousine service goes well at the Miami negotiation. Alas, vicious arms dealer Brennen, whom Michael believed was killed by a Colombian cartel, is back and shows that Nate's deal is a trap. Michael must help him break in and steal at various top security locations or Nate will be slaughtered. Detective Paxson's police escort annoy Michael and ruin another of Fiona's jobs. So they decide to earn the MPD's gratitude, hoping to get them off their backs. Sam discovers that another constant focus for Paxson is Rickie Matheson, a parasite who recruits small criminals and kills them after a lucrative job. Mike poses as Milo, an 'admirer' of Tommy T'Antonio, as expected the next Matheson recruit, so the team can set them up. Michael refuses to 'play ball' with 'agent of secret agents' Tom Strickler, who offers to mediates in order to get him back into lucrative work. Sam helps him find out that the Ukrainian 'would be' client's contact is arrogant Miami businessman John Beck. While Michael meets him unsuccessfully, both are attacked by the goons of Weston's Cold War enemy Pyotr Chechik. Tom Strickler's new offer convinces Michael to pressure informer Diego to find out if Tom has the clout to deliver a burn-reversal. He suspends a vital matter after catching Joey (13) stealing his gun, because the kid feels desperately forced to eliminate his abusive stepfather, businessmen Erik Luna, who is likely to get custody of him and his step-brother at their mother's expense. Erik is protected by his gangster brother Quinn Luna, but has a lucrative scam behind his back. Friendly money launderer Barry however calls markers urgently after his client's ledger is stolen, apparently by Milovan Dragas, who allegedly blackmails Realtor Natalie Rice by kidnapping her son. Michael, already moody because his mother plans to sell the house, he grudgingly stomachs Fiona's plan to return 'home' to Ireland as their relationship seems to be going nowhere. He objects morally to the first counter-service Strickler wants for reopening his burn-case. Then Fiona's brother Sean, who only knows Michael under an alias used when he met Fi in Northern Ireland, appears, warning them Irish split terrorist leader Thomas O'Neill has tracked them down and brought a killing team. Sugar begs Mike for help to get his simpleton cousin out of the clutch of violent crime baron Lynch, but fails to keep his distance while the team infiltrates and still has to improvise as they misread the gang's plans. Nate proudly drops by to present his sassy wife, Las Vegas croupier Ruth Westen to everyone. Grudgingly he agrees to interrupt his honeymoon to look after his mother, who refuses to join them permanently. Mike has to handle his other visitor, former professional partner Larry Sizemore, who assumed Mike's identity to steal $2,000,000 from Colombian drug lord Carlos' Miami money laundry center. Larry eliminated 'sicario' Justino, but Mike decides to clear his name and save Jack Yablonski, the naive 'laundry man'. Meanwhile Sam hates researching flight data for Mason Gilroy, who lies about the purpose. As if shaken loyalty from Sam and Fi weren't bad enough, Mike gets bad surprise from Larry as well as Carlos.
