Eric and Horatio arrive at CSI HQ barely in time to prevent toxic gasses slaughtering their colleagues. Tragically, it's too late for Jesse, who hurt his head while falling. It's clearly the work of serial killer professor Bob Starling, but also destroyed most evidence against him. Several trails or followed, laid by him, causing confusion about his accomplice(s), notably the part played by ruthless opportunist Melissa Walls and campus janitor Keith Garwood. Already celebrating his impending lucrative contract as professional quarterback in the insanely expensive Miami club The Dorset, hunky college star Brady Jensen got drunk in his cabana with his new agent Chip Ford and waitress-temptress Kristen Banks, who is found drowned in a fountain. Pressured, her colleague Sarah Walker admits manager Amanda made them take compromising pictures. Brady is arrested in a heroic pursuit, but fancy forensics set the team of a more elaborate plot. Blind Ben Wilcox witnesses a rape in a public bathroom but is merely slapped as the culprit considers him harmless while the girl is kidnapped. Model citizen Ben however hastily alerts the police and proves to Horatio's team non-visual clues can tell a keen observer more then most seeing witnesses. Five fiends escape from jail, of which one is easily apprehended on a bus. The real nightmare is Mariposo's Mala Noche-killer, Memmo Fierro, who quickly leaves a bloody trail of mostly pointless corpses through Miami. Year-long rehabilitated junkie Jason Kreeger reports a dream involving a murder on himself, only to find himself the first suspect standing over the a corpse in the Everglades, which he recognizes from another nightmare. Fancy forensics identify it as Brandon Garrett, from whom Stacy Garrett was divorcing, while committing adultery with devoted spa collaborator Peter Truitt. A weird link is 'psychic healer' Elena Manus. Natalia, who sabotaged Delco's interrogations by verbally abusing Keeger, volunteers to go undercover, at her peril. Written by KGF Vissers

While Eric is among police-crowd-control during a wild public party, a reality show 'The Burroughs'-contestant is seemingly shot by a man who turns out to be innocent, she was in fact fatally stabbed with a mystery-weapon. The team goes trough motives of fellow contestants, as none other had access. Bookie Brad Webb tries from his speedboat to prevent an apparent suicide attempt by ex-con Shane Newsom, but is nearly killed by a sharpshooter from ashore, as it turns out with a home-made gun. Divorced Gary Chapman's heavily-pregnant second wife Heather, stepmother to Jason, is suspiciously badly beaten during a carjacking after a row with her former best friend Marcie Westerfield. Forensics and shamelessly abusive interrogation technique quickly lead to the car thieves, who prove to be linked with Marcie, as well as at least one Chapman. Written by KGF Vissers

After an explosion in Roger Cavanaugh's Dade County sugar refinery, trainee-foreman Eduardo's messy corpse is found in a processing kettle. The team soon realizes the plant was the scenery of bitter rivalry, especially involving illegal Cuban laborers. DNA tests however show relevantly mixed blood, later evidence that at least one suspect knew about it and may be motivated by inheritance implications. Written by KGF Vissers

Retired dot-com millionaire Matthew Shaw (27) is devoured by an alligator someone lured into his pool. He was phoning with Abby Lexington, a potential bride matched by ruthless Tandy King's exclusive dating service, but not actually exclusively. Shaw's hand was burned by even more ruthless gangster pimp-loan-shark baron Paul Nichols' goon Ricky Tobar. Forensics must tie everything together while Ryan goes undercover as a 'client'. To the team's horror, the public street site of a double fatal shooting is flushed by a burst fire hydrant, so even the murder weapon washes down the drain. The male victim seems to have shot the female before committing suicide, but ballistics actually show he was shot first by a third person, the bullet exited his skull to kill her, an accidental by-passer. He successfully posed on Internet as inexistent marine war hero Sean (18), to seduce young girls, such as the daughter of Larry Chandler, a revolver from whose collection was used as murder weapon, but actually stolen. A rising Miami girls roller derby star dies from wounds-triggered cardiac arrest during a match. Injuries are frequent in the ruthless competition, but her fractured rib probably required male strength. On top of competitive rivalries, the team discovers various lies, broken promises and infidelity, also involving her roommate, her ex and the rival team manager. Written by KGF Vissers

While boasting recent successes against the Latino Male Noche gang, state attorney Nicholas Chandler is shot from a passing car. CSI soon traces henchman Felix Medina, but his pro deo lawyer is murdered, like less violent present gang leader Armando Salazar, and Felix's kid son is kidnapped to blackmail him into silence. Patrick Lieber's high school's bully senior Blair Hawkins, who terrorized all students, is fatally stoned in the school stadium. She was abducted after a friend's pool party, where she tricked ugly duckling outcast virgin Megan Wells into having sex with three jocks and still be thrown out. Model sophomore Nate Cordero barely survived a suicide attempt after Megan's gang tricked him into public nudity. The evidence includes compromising mails with the principal and the rope Nate tried to hang himself with, but the ropes suggest at least one murder accomplice. Written by KGF Vissers

Traveling businessman Dennis Baldwin's wife Michelle escapes from the hurricane shelter where her friend is tortured and killed. Tracing the corpse leads to a multiple improvised grave site, the common MO suggests a serial killer, further evidence a male-female perpetrators pair. Dade painting student Monica Dow claims she already left when roommate Corinne Palmer, with whom she bathed, had her throat fatally slashed. Steady boyfriend Jared Hatch was recorded on security camera lurking around, allegedly just checking on infidelity rumors. The murder weapon was stolen from fellow student Perry, who has a solid alibi. The team wisely checks out Monica's mental disorder, professor Liam Loslow, who cares only to let her exposition go ahead, and elusive third roommate Alexis Taymor. Written by KGF Vissers

Serial-killer Jack Toller, who cremated his victims, escaped from life in jail but was caught. Horatio and Tripp escort his plane back to Miami prison, but are overpowered by the pilot duo Toller hired to replace the official ones. Playing dead, he steals a woman's car and kills her, then has it driven as decoy by former cell-mate Randy North, a model ex-con who is desperately easy to blackmail with hid motherless kids' custody hearing coming up. Logistis logics puts the team on the trail of counterfeit dollars bills and the means to make them. Toller kills a fencing accomplice, ignoring he was watched by an undercover Secret Service officer.
