Joey bends over to pick up Ross's wedding ring in front of Rachel. In fact, the ring was giving to Ross by his mother, in order to propose to Rachel. Ross is thinking seriously about the matter. However, Rachel thinks that Joey has proposed her and Joey tries to explain her that he only had the ring by mistake. It's too late though, because Rachel has said yes to Joey. Every time he tries to explain, someone enters to the room and interrupts. Monica is talking about trying to conceive a baby to Chandler and they make out in a janitor's room. Jack Geller, hearing all the noises inside, opens the door in order to snoop and sees his daughter and Chandler making out. Ross and Rachel take Emma to Ralph Lauren's to introduce her to everyone, but Rachel discovers that a guy called Gavin is replacing her during her maternity leave. She is convinced that Gavin is trying to steal her job, so she decides to come back to work two weeks early. Chandler gets and aces his own audition, for an unpaid intern job as writer in a publicity firm, where he is considered the old dude, but proves wit transcends generations by elaborating the only bright idea for a product which rather appeals to childish Joey, sneakers ... Monica and Rachel are going bananas when they are meeting all the stars. Ross is scared when Charlie describes all of her former boyfriends. Phoebe does not tell Rachel however that she actually works at this specific massage chain. Although Rachel says she won't go and even tears up the gift certificate, she later tapes it back together, goes for her free massage and gets Phoebe as her masseuse. In the progress of Joey and Charlie's relationship, Joey discusses with Ross his feelings that Charlie may be too smart for him. As Charlie wants to go to the Met (not to see The Mets as Joey originally assumes), Ross coaches Joey on the layout of the museum and on certain paintings on a planned route through the ...
