Mr James announces he's running for President and challenges Lisa to dig up the dirt that will stop him; Beth, Joe, Catherine and Bill hold an intervention to convince Matthew to shave off his mustache.

Matthew believes he's discovered Dilbert and wants to do a special segment about it. Dave flatly refuses to allow it, and Matthew quits. The staff argues over an important review of the station, unable to agree whether it's good or bad.

WNYX is exceeding it's budget and Mr. James tells Dave he has to get rid of the free snacks in the break room. Dave tells Mr. James this will lead to a revolt lead by Bill and that the staff will consider Dave the bad guy, but Mr. James sees no other options. Pretty soon, Bill is indeed the leader of a revolt of the whole staff - save Lisa who doesn't want to be involved because she's involved with Dave - and tells Dave what their demands are. However, Bill demands a massage chair instead of free snacks in the break room. Meanwhile, Joe tries to get Catherine to go on a date with him by fixing her not-broken desk. Bill is devastated when Beth has the old sandwich machine removed from the office, Dave is horrified when she replaces it with a classic arcade machine; Lisa is so worried she's losing her smarts she re-sits her SAT's.

The staff are upset when Mr James doesn't invite them to his big Halloween party because they think they're too cool to dress up; Lisa volunteers Dave to wear the most outrageous costume ever to get them into the party spirit.

Dave feels confident about WNYX's chances at a broadcasting awards dinner but the rest of the staff don't share his enthusiasm; Catherine invites Joe to be her guest at the black tie affair but worries about what he's going to wear.

The office thermostat is broken and the heat is getting to the staff. Everybody in the office has delusional daydreams. Dave deals with low station ratings.

James Caan researches a movie role with Bill but gets distracted by Matthew. Dave tries to convince Lisa to let him buy her a TV.

Beth inherits some money and asks Mr. James for stock tips. Matthew returns from Japan.

To the staff's surprise, Dave says they are allowed to leave early for Christmas but only if they have finished all their work first. Bill takes Beth along to read opposite him for a garage door-opener commercial. The sound guy decides to use Beth instead of Bill so Bill tells Beth to read poorly for it so they will hire him. With her repeated botched takes, Beth loses her voice forcing Bill to reveal a creepy secret talent to resolve the problem. Meanwhile each staff member pawns their work off on Dave one by one so they can each leave early, leaving Dave stuck at the station delaying Lisa and Dave's departure time to Wisconsin. Lisa is nervous about meeting Dave's parents for the first time but her worrying turns out to be for nothing. Written by Novotny

Bill joins the Ted Chambers gym because, as always, Bill can't control himself around celebrities. As quickly as he joined, Bill wants to quit the gym but a guest-starring Ben Stiller refuses to let him go. The staff learns Dave's big dark secret that he is... Gasp! ...A CANADIAN!!! Of course this leads the staff to question all they know about their own Dave Nelson and themselves. The staff is left feeling hurt and as Beth says, naked. Jimmy seeks Dave's help to work on his table manners so he can sit next to Bill Clinton at a White House dinner. Dave confesses to Jimmy that he has hidden his true origins because of his fear of being thought to be a Canadian spy. To this, Jimmy replies, you poor misguided Canadian bastard. Written by Novotny

Tensions rise in the office after a local magazine names Lisa cutest reporter in New York. After Joe alerts Bill that he's had his treble all the way down in his car and turns it up, Bill becomes shocked and outraged over the lyrics rap music has, previously not hearing them without the treble. Once again, Bill humiliates Matthew and once again, Matthew starts to cry and he locks himself up in Dave's office. After a talk with Dave, Matthew punches Bill out! To his own surprise, Matthew likes this rough side of himself and starts behaving like he owns the place. A suddenly very humble Bill is the only one who likes this character change. Meanwhile, Mr. James has a problem: He has lost some money when playing a card game with some crooked dealers. He asks Catherine for help because he wants to win from them. Mr. James going on a fishing vacation, but in order to still be at the office Joe sets up a two-way satellite box, which drives the staff crazy as they have to take it around the office. A new complaint box is installed and promptly abused. Written by Justin Boggan

Jimmy is very proud of a box of movie memorabilia he bought. Unfortunately, they all turn out to be fake and, with the help of Joe, Jimmy is going to sue the guy who sold him the box. The yearly job evaluation conversations are coming up and this year Dave has a novelty: He won't do the job evaluation conversations with everybody, rather, all of the staff pick somebody who they tell about their performance on the job. Mr. James brings in a group of little kids for the office to mentor, while he takes their teacher out to dinner. Dave goes on the hunt to find out who's been leaving porno magazines in the break room, while Lisa struggles with the possibility it might be Dave. Written by Justin Boggan

Stranded in the St. Louis airport for days because of a snow storm, Dave is forced to deal with Bill and his revolt against friendly Midwestern people. Lisa tries to deal with being boss, though Mr. James doesn't show the enthusiasm she had hoped. Mr. James goes on a mission to stop Joe and Catherine from becoming romantically involved. Mr. James decides to rectify the stations continuing problem of being over budget, by selling office equipment. Matthew's twin brother pays a visit, but the staff knows something is up when neither brother look alike. Bill alienates the entire office. Written by Justin Boggan

The staff deals with noisy new neighbors the floor above them. Catherine is unhappy with Bill after the way he reads a commercial and that he fakes endorsement over a product he's never tried.

After a scuffle and being arrested all over a parking ticket, Bill is committed for psychiatric evaluation. With Bill gone, things quickly fall apart on air.

After a surprise prank by Matthew, Mr. James has a small heart attack and per his wishes, he convalesces in a comatose state with the WNYX staff. Lisa suddenly decides she wants to have a baby.

After Bill's new radio show, The Real Deal With Bill McNeal gets canned for low ratings, Bill and co-host Lisa struggle to find a surprise guest to peak Mr. James' interest. Matthew announces to the staff he's still a virgin.

After being a little too honest in a radio magazine interview about his job and staff, Dave draws the wrath of the staff. A new temp brought in to re-sort paper work proves to be as weird, if not weirder, than Matthew.

The gang shows us what a space episode would be like. Matthew dates a porn star robot. Bill goes for a space walk and gets locked outside. Joe accidentally sets off the self destruct system and everybody is forced into hypersleep. Matthew accidentally kicks the cord and shuts down their life support.
